The most important aspect of my sessions is genuine connection with my clients. The connection that I form with you enables me to take your dream photographic vision and make it a reality. Photography is an investment so my job is to ensure you’re enamoured with your photos, and enjoy the process of creating them.

I’m Courteney, and I’m so happy you’re here!

From the age of 13 I’ve always had some sort of camera in my hands, it has been a dream of mine to turn moments into a beautiful memory that you’re able to look back on.

I’m a doting mother to my daughter Lily and a loving partner to my best friend Kasey.

I’m based in Timaru, New Zealand but often travel around the Canterbury region for photoshoots. As a lifestyle photographer, I seek the happy balance between posed portraits and documentary journalism.

I aim to capture with art and intention , the honest beauty in the every-day love you share. Your experience of our time together is always the centre of what I do, because I will capture more than just what these moments you spent loving your family looked like. I will capture what they feel like too.

Content, Concept & Composition

Photography is an art form, similar to painting or sculpting. It requires attention to detail to ensure all details are captured. As a photographer I am genuinely invested in your satisfaction with the images you receive.

Despite how many times you’ve had your photo taken, it can be anxiety inducing, I offer plenty of patience and guide you to make sure we are getting the most relaxed and comfortable version of you as possible.

Photos are one of the few ways to truly hold on to and appreciate a memory. Photography can help you look back on some of the most important milestones in your life.

FAQs

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes! If something comes up and you need to reschedule, please contact me at least 72hrs in advance to our session. If you are to cancel please be aware there is a non-refundable deposit which is paid to secure your session.

What do I wear?

This is a great question, unless you have a preference on your outfit I’m happy to send a clothing guide for our session which includes appropriate colour schemes. I suggest to avoid busy patterns such as stripes and polka dots.

We are awkward, is that okay?

Yes absolutely, one of the biggest priorities in our session is to make you comfortable an relaxed as possible. Throughout the session I’ll be guiding you on poses and giving you prompts to do by yourself, with your family or pets etc.
